Ignorance = Not Guilty?

OoT: I have been playing Perfect World and watching tons of anime lately that's why this blog has been abadonned for such a long time. I am a really lazy person...but never a quitter. BTW, about the RO2 vid, I am so frustrated with the RO2Korean private server (illegal, yes, I know) and thus I decided to wait for the official RO2SEA release.

This morning I went for breakfast at the cafe with my daddy. After I have filled my stomach with a lot of food I picked up one of the newspapers (Sin Chew Daily newspapers) on the table and flipped a few pages. Eventually I came to a section of the newspaper with an interesting title "Ignorance = Not Guilty?" (in Mandarin, of course).

So, is it being ignorance an excuse for us to escape from the law when we have done something against it? What if everyone who breaks the law tell the judge that they didn't know it is stated in the law? Then everyone will be free to do anything they wish and use "ignorance" as an excuse to escape the penalty.

However, there are millions of written laws in this country which not a single person can memorize all of them, not even the most outstanding lawyer. So, how can someone expect everyone to know all those laws? What should be done to fix this problem so the real criminals won't get away from what they have done? Actually, this problem has been solved long before I read the newspaper article and typed this blog entry.

The law has a hypothesis where it assumes everyone know every single laws and therefore no matter how good someone is able to convince the judge that he/she really an ignorant to the commited crime, that someone will still receive punishment but the judge can reduce the seriousness of punishment.

A teacher, who is caught for not carrying her Identity Card with her, begs the judge and explain that she didn't know it is against the law. Would someone believe an educated person such as that teacher didn't even know it is a must to carry her ID with her all the time?

A few fishermen, who are caught fishing in the sea without carrying their ICs with them, crying infront of the judge and asking why must they bring their ICs together with them when they are fishing in the deep blue sea. Should the judge give them a warning instead of a fine or jail sentence?

Above are two simple cases. In the first case, of course no one would believe the teacher is an ignorant and she is definitely guilty. The latter case where a few fishermen, probably never receive any formal education, should be given a chance. This is how the laws work so that no real criminals can escape from their commited crimes and innocent people are given a chance but not to repeat it again.

My RO2 Video (Edited)

Have you watched my RO2 video attached in the previous entry? I have made some editing to that and here is the 2nd edition. I corrected some gramatical errors, added/cut some of the scenes and subtitles to make the motion pictures in-sync with the music. So you can say that the video is improved from the previous one. Hope you will like it : )

Shooters Pick Of All Time (Part I)

Note: This blog entry is related to PC shooter games.

Counter-Strike? Unreal Tournament? SWAT? GTA? Ghost Recon? Comandos? Splinter Cell? Metal Gear Solid? Splinter Cell? All these are examples of shooter games on the PC platform. Basically, these shooter games can be devided into 2 types which are the First-Person Shooter (FPS) and Third-Person Shooter. I myself prefer the latter one.

Hereby, on tonight, I am gonna start introduce you shooters out there, whether you are a hardcore or just casual gamer, some of the great shooter games I have played so far. The very first one I would like to let you know is a game released in year 2004, a game named Mafia. This game is a third person shooter game which let you view your character from its behind so that you can see his every action up-close.

Mafia: The City of Lost Heaven
In Mafia, you play the role of a guy named Thomas "Tommy" Angelo. The game is set in the 1930s, between the autumn of 1930 to the end of 1938, during the Prohibition. You start of as a peaceful taxi driver who drives to make a living. One night, when Tommy is resting after a long day work, he heard a gun shot not far away. Suddenly, two guys (Paulie and Sam) pop up and one of them got shot in the chest. They point the gun on Tommy and asked him to give them a ride. The first mission of this game is a car chase where you have to lose the tail of the car chasing behind with people shooting at Paulie, Sam and Tommy like mad.

Taxi in Lost Heaven
After the incident, Paulie and Sam thank Tommy for helping them and eventually Tommy finds out they are both working for Mr. Salieri, the Don (boss) from a local mafia family (gansters). Mr. Salieri is impressed with Tommy's speed driving and invited him to the family. Of course, Tommy wouldn't agree at first. However, one day when he is working, a few gangsters from another family called Morello damaged his taxi to give him a warning because of the incident happenned at the night where he saved Paul and Sam. So, he decided to work for Salieri and take revenge on this Morello family.

Car Chase in MafiaMafia Gameplay
I like this game because of its gameplay and storyline. This game is cinematic thus you will feel like you are playing the game and watching movie at the same time. The cutscenes are meaningful and worth watching. The character's voices are superb and not to mention how real their faces look. When you play Mafia you will feel like you are in it, you feel feel like you are in the 1930s. There are many vehicles that existed during that time and you can drive them to travel from place to place in the game. Well, you may think that it is like GTA or The Godfather but hell, this game is a lot better and more fun than those two! Although there is no difficulty setting in this game, the missions aren't tough except maybe the last few ones.

Salieri, Paul and TommyFrank and Tommy
So, have you ever imagine yourself as a Mafia in the 1930s where you can have the power and you can kill someone and easily slip away from the cops? Feel like running over the bad guys with a classic sport car? Do you like watching blood all over the place inside the lobby of a hotel after killing all the bad guys with a Tommy Gun? Like watching movie while playing game at the same time? Well, this game is just right for you! This game is not for the faint-hearted ones.

I rated this game 5 out of 5.

P.S. Mafia 2 is coming out. The release date is not announced yet.

How fcuk got its name?

Well, majority of you ladies and gentlemen out there have heard of the name "fcuk" or had seen it before this.

fcuk (notice that it is written in lowercase) is a company that was known as French Connection (FC) founded in United Kingdom (UK) which sells clothing and accessories in many parts of the world. That's why when people connect those four words together it becomes FCUK (French Connection of United Kingdom). However, I have came up with my own version of "how fcuk company got its name". Read on...

fcuk Shop Covant Garden
Recently I have received a lot of spam e-mails from both my friends and strangers. There was one which have led me into typing this blog entry and I believed most of you have received it too and had read it many thousand times before this. Anyway...

Below is the content of the e-mail I was talking about, read it with care:

"Aoccdrnig to rseecarch, it dseno't mtaetr waht oerdr the ltteers in a wrod is, the olny iproamtnt tihng is taht the frist and lsat ltters be in the rgiht pacle. The rset can be a taotl mses and you can siltl raed it whotliit mcuh pboerlm!"

...and then I thought, that's why they named it fcuk!

Paulie: Hey, Tony! Look at my new T-shirt.
Tony: What the...FUCK?!

Review On Budget '08

First of all, I would like to wish all Muslim Selamat Berpuasa. I also would like to congrat my friend who participated in the WCG during the last weekend for getting third place in playing StarCraft.

Last Friday's afternoon, our prime minister, YAB Dato' Seri Abdullah Badawi, has given a speech on the Malaysia's Budget '08. Many feels happy about what he has decided on where the money will be spent on during next year and in the future.

Actually I wanted to post this entry earlier but I couldn't find anything about the Budget '08 because I just couldn't find the newspaper. Don't know who kept it and only just now it appeared after I came back home from my English for Engineering test in UTAR. Below is the 10 things listed in the last Saturday's Sin Chew Daily newspaper (Budget '08 special ed), without my own comment.

1. Members of KWSP can now withdraw their money from the second account every month to repay their house's loan.

2. Company's tax is reduced once again. Company's tax has been reduced from 28% to 27% this year; Followed by 26% next year; In 2009, it will again reduced to 25%.

3. All students, regardless of their family's income, can borrow text books from schools.

4. Non-profit education organization including every stream (public and private) of primary and secondary schools do not need to pay taxes. Primary and secondary school's annual donation (such as activities like Jogathon and Hari Kantin) is eliminated. Student with family income of below RM1,000 can obtain free uniform for participating in one uniform group (such as Pengakap and Persatuan Bulan Sabit Merah). In 2008, 60 schools chosen as examples to the others will be rewarded RM500,000 each.

5. When purchasing computers and paying for Internet fee, business owners can now enjoy a reduction in tax for both. Business owner who buy their employee a computer will get reduction in tax while that employee will be exempted for paying higher income tax because of owning a computer. This will be practiced until year 2010.

6. Houses that worth below RM250,000 can get 50% reduction in contract tax. The tax will also be exempted for name transfer between husband and wife for that house.

7. Starting from year 2008, all licensed public companies must announce the race and gender structure of their employees. Private companies must employ employees of every race in order to fully utilize the advantage of multiracial in Malaysia.

8. RM300 tax discount will be given when buying sport utilities.

9. Tax-free on shares. After a company pays its tax, the shares distributed to share owners will be exempted from paying tax. 6 years of trial period is given by the government to ensure this to work smoothly continuously.

10. National bank, BNM (Bank Negara Malaysia), will provide RM20 billion for senior citizens of age 55 and above to apply for it. Disabled people can get living fee of at least RM200 and up to RM300 monthly. Kind-hearted people who take care of long-term hospital patient will get RM300 to spend on the patient.

Well, that's all. Though there are much much more that were mentioned in the Budget '08 speech but above are the 10 main things. For more details you can visit the official website and look for "Bajet '08".

Good O' Reviews

Yes, it's about time for some good old reviews on a few movies I have watched recently. Yea, I know my exam is next week but what's life without entertainment after getting through all the hardships trying to understand what were lectured during the past 14 weeks? So, let's move on to the good o' reviews!

The Simpsons Movie (2007)

WARNING: This entry/post/review/article may contain spoilers!

The Simpsons Movie
I will start off with The Simpsons Movie (2007). As usual, The Simpsons is a comedy cartoon, it's just that it is now on the big screen! In this movie, it is about the environment of the Springfield where The Simpsons live. It gets even worse after what Homer Simpsons have done to the pond in Springfield. The government takes action and decides to seal Springfield away from the world with a huge hemisphere made of glass (funny!) and nightmare comes when the president commands a bomb to be dropped in Springfield. Homer Simpsons thus must save the day from a catastrophe he himself created.

The storyline may sounds bored to you but it is not the storyline that made me laugh, but it was how the characters speak and act that will make you laugh in this movie! It's hard not liking the movie. Way to go, Simpsons!

I rated this movie 5 out of 5.

Vampire Cop Ricky (2006)

WARNING: This entry/post/review/article may contain spoilers!

Vampire Cop Ricky
Next, it is the Vampire Cop Ricky (2006). It is a Korean movie. After biting a vampire in Transylvania, a mosquito finds itself trapped on an airplane bound for Seoul. Then the Transylvanian mosquito bites Na Do-yeol, a corrupt cop in league with a criminal organization. Though Na doesn't become a vampire, he develops a desire for blood causing problems when investigating crime scenes. Additionally, when he becomes aroused by a woman, the vampire in him comes out. Na's criminal contacts threaten his partner and kidnap his girlfriend. So, he has to go rescue her and eventually he finds that he can fight better in his vampire form. In the end, he turns into a real vampire after he sucks blood away from the villain.

This movie is full of humours and should not be missed by those who like watching Korean movies. It also teaches us not to betray our friends and close ones.

I rated this movie 4 out of 5.

The Girl Who Leapt Through Time (2006)

WARNING: This entry/post/review/article may contain spoilers!

The Girl Who Leapt Through Time
The last one is an animated movie. The name is "The Girl Who Leapt Through Time (2006)". Makoto Kono is a girl attending high school in Tokyo's shitamachi. She gains the power to go back in time and redo things when she gets involved in an accident at a train crossing one day. The incident is called "time leaping". A little bewildered with her new powers at first, Makoto uses them extravagantly to avoid being tardy and to get perfect grades on tests. However, things begin to turn bad as she discovers how her actions can adversely affect others and make them suffer for what she has done. Along the way, Makoto's aunt, Kazuko Yoshiyama, offers some advice to her niece, with the hint that she herself had done something similar in the past. One of Makoto's two best friends, Chiaki, is the one who had brought the item from the future that caused Makoto's powers. He came from the future to save a piece of art. However, he must keep secret about the device that he uses to time leap.

The animation is nicely done and so does the drawing. Each character was voiced greatly. I especially love how they potrayed Makoto. It is kind of a good anime movie and I suggest you to watch it at least once. "Time waits for no one".

I rated this movie 4 out of 5.

Budget '08 & WCG '07

Later on today, September 7th, 2007, at afternoon, Dato' Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, our current Prime Minister of Malaysia will be broadcasted infront of our very own TVs or your neighbour's TVs, or the Mamak stall's TVs. Why? Because it is about time for him to decide and announce where our hard-earned money will be spent on next year. The program show is called Budget '08 and will be aired through all TV channels as well as some of the radio stations. This mean I won't be able to watch the Taiwan drama named the Magician of Love >< @#$%

Portion of the money will go to the space project next year...and for the many years to come, for sure and trust me. This space project is called "Projek Angkasawan" in Malay tongue. It is to have someone with the nationality of a Malaysian to land his feet on the moon and thus making a breakthrough in our own but...I guess the money can be spent on something else more important. Oh well, we will see where it goes, tomorrow...

Meanwhile, on this weekend, WCG (World Computer Games) 2007 Championship will be held in Malaysia. One of my friends is going to participate in it and he will be playing StarCraft against many other experts from all over the nation! If I have trained hard during the past few months perhaps I will go for it also but...anyway, I wish him the best of luck and kick all his competitor's asses :P Go for it, dude! Too bad there will be no live broadcast on WCG in Malaysia, unlike in other countries.

Negaraku Malaysia

Now, haven't we complaint enough about our nation? Why not we turn around and look at It from another perspective? See how lucky are we as the children of Malaysia? Afterall, we have been complaining for almost 50 years and now it is time for us to appreciate our own beloved nation.

We have the World's tallest office buildings Petronas Twin Towers which are located in the centre of Kuala Lumpur and they used to be the World's tallest buildings. Something we should be very proud of.

Petronas Twin Towers
Look at those highways in Malaysia. I bet no nation in the South East Asia can beat us in the number of highways. Oh well, forget about the road accident rate.

When it comes to eating, we have various choices of food available in Malaysia. Since we have so many races, we get to enjoy each race's delicious and unique food. We have Indian's Roti Canai, Malay's Nasi Lemak and Chinese's Fried Kuew Teow, to name a few. Uss, pedasnya...

Malaysian Food
With so many races around, we have got to learn a few languages which include at least one language that is understood by all Malaysian. This includes our own mother tongue, national language Malay and International language English. So we becomes something as below:

Tongues - Drawn by James with MS Paint
We have got no volcano in Malaysia! Should feel lucky because we won't need to encounter earthquakes and being "chased" by flowing lava.

There is no war in Malaysia. Compared to those countries at war, we are considered very lucky. We have home but they don't. They are homeless. We have 3 meals in a day but they onlt have one meal in 3 days.

We have no hard time voting for the next president during the general election. Unlike the US where their president can only serve up to 4 years, we can vote for the same person for the next 20 years unless he decides to step down and retire from the world of politics.

We have Proton. Although It is facing some financial problems now, we still get to buy car at lower cost. In other countries, there is a limit to how long a car can be used but not in Malaysia. Look at the Proton Saga in your neighbourhood, it is 27 years old now and still working!

Proton Saga
See? How lucky are we as Malaysians. Happy 50th Independence Day, Malaysia!

Here Come The Mosquitoes

July in the Lunar calander is a spooky month. Why? Because it is believed by the Chinese that July in the Lunar calander is the month of the roaming spirits...or in other word, ghosts. I do not know why it rains every night during this creepy month, is it just a coincidence? Although as a Christian, I do believe ghosts exist in this World...we called them the wandering/lost souls.

As it rains everyday, mosquitoes are able to reproduce even faster, and even more. These cursed creatures will come out in search of their preys. I have been their prey for the past few nights. Their needles pierced into me and began to suck up my blood so that they will be able to lay more eggs...I was wondering, those eggs are made up of my blood, so am I a father now? LoL

I couldn't sleep well for the past few days at my second home. Even after I covered myself with blanket, those mosquitoes will find even the slightest openning to slip into the blanket and taste my blood...ouch! Here they come again...

LOL - Lack Of Laughter

I just noticed that since I live at my second home, seldom do I laugh. Perhaps I just do not have something to laugh at or someone to laugh with. The things that I face the most every night are the text books and tutorial papers which unlikely to make me laugh...except to make me cry T.T (so hard I couldn't do almost half of the tutorial questions.)

Entertainment has left me and went to the other direction. The way I am now heading to is called "boredom". Tests are now my "friends". I wish I can drift away from this road to where entertainment is. I need anime, nice songs/musics, online games and more. Now I can only see them during weekends.

It's alright. It's okay. I told myself. It's just 7 weeks away for me to see them everyday. Then I will be able to laugh like a mad person XD

Nut Review on Transfomers (2007)

Transformers. Their War. Our World. Long Queue. No Ticket. Our Time...

Transformers (2007)
Guess there is no need for me to introduce to you the Transformers because I know it is one of your childhood popular cartoons. Transformers first movie was created in year 1985 and it was an animation or children used to call it cartoon. After 22 years, Michael Bay is back with the Transformers movie which is created with the assistant of high technology such as computer graphics and animation.

If you really do not know what is Transformers about, I can briefly explain it to you here. Basically, Transformers is about a dozen of robots that can transform themselves into vehicles. There are two tribes of Transformers where, as usual, one is the good guys (the Autobots) and another is those bad guys (Decepticons). The bosses of these two tribes are Optimums Prime (good guy) and Megatron (bad guy).

Warning: This article/entry/post/review may contains spoilers.

Ironhide (Autobots)
In this Transformers movie, The Earth is caught in the middle of an intergalactic war between two races of robots, the heroic Autobots and the evil Decepticons, which are able to change into a variety of objects, including cars, trucks, planes and other technological creations. One of the Transformers which was a little robot can even transform itself into a cellphone. Cool eh?

Optimus Prime (Boss of Autobots the decent guys) is on his quest to obtain the Allspark which is also known as "The Cube". He believes this cube will bring destruction to the universe. Megatron (Boss of Decepticons the evil guys) discovers the Cube on Earth but he became frozen when he landed in the Arctic Circle. Captain Archibald Witwicky and his crew of explorers stumble upon Megatron's body in 1987. Megatron's navigational system is unintentionally activated and Witwicky's eye glasses are imprinted with the coordinates of the Cube's location. Sector 7, a secret organization of the U.S. government, discovers the Cube and builds the Hoover Dam around it to mask the energy signal.

Transformers and ebay - edited by James with MS Paint

Then, one day the other Decepticons landed on Earth and went on a rampage on us human and destroyed everything in their way. The Autobots leaded by Prime appeared to stop the Decepticons. In the end Megatron is killed by the hero as he rams the Cube into Megatron's chest. Although one of the Autobots named Jazz was sacrificed during the fight to stop the Decepticons, Prime expresses his gratitude to human especially the hero, Sam Witwicky (Shia LaBeouf), and the heroine, Mikaela Banes (Megan Fox).

I must admit the sound and visual effect of this movie are great. The story is interesting, some dialouges are even funny and Megan Fox is hot! LoL

Megan Fox as Mikaela Banes
This movie is for everyone who knows Transformers and for those who would like to know about it.

I rated it 5 out of 5.

Recently, a friend of mine mentioned infront of me that he thought he was in the wrong way. He told me he started to have doubt on whether he has choosed the right course. He said he should have taken courses related to IT instead of engineering.

Year 1 semester 1 is definitely a torment to all UTAR Mechanical Engineering Bachelor Degree students. Besides having lectures and tutorials for 7 subjects in one week which make our time table so freakingly packed, we also have assignments and tests for each subject. We have been having 1 test per week since week 3 and still we have 2 more tests remaining.

He told me he couldn't catch up with the syllabus. I honestly replied him that neither do I have my brain up-to-date yet. He laughed but continued, "I should have stayed in PJ and study Programming or Networking related course". I reminded him about he still have the chance to take the U-turn as it is not too late yet since it is just the semester 1 in our degree course.

As for myself, though I did not do well in a couple of tests in the past few weeks, I believe I will be able to pass all 7 subjects during the final if I work hard enough during the coming study week. After this semester, I'm pretty sure I will have no problem, at least until the final year.

He said he will decide if he is going to transfer course only after this semester when the result is out. Anyway, whatever his decision is, I will wish him good luck and I will go on with my engineer's dream, with one less rival :P

True Friend VS Real Hypocrite

I have been here on Earth for at least 19 years now. I have made a number of friends during the journey of my life. There are people who are really friendly out there all around the world. However, how many of them are truely friendly without pretending to be one? How many friends do you have that will always stand on your side and never betray you for once, or talk bad things about you with other people behind you? Do you ever know what they are thinking when they are smiling with you? Are you sure they never hated you?

It is really hard to find a true friend in this materialistic world. I have to admit that so far I only have a couple of true friends. They are the only ones I feel easy when I am around with them. They don't always think about their own benefit. Whatever they do is for the best to everyone. Although that is the case, we have never discuss anything about money because we know money is the root of all evil. We can't afford to lose our friendship to the evil.

A real hypocrite may seems really friendly to you and always smile with you. At first, he may be looked like a true friend of yours but once both of you encounter an obstacle, or as time passes, he will show his true colour. He befriended with you because he thinks you are beneficial to him. Once you have no value to him anymore, you will be abandoned and left behind. This kind of people is what we should avoid the most.

P.S. I'm having an entry with this title because recently I have been betrayed by a close friend of mine. Perhaps he doesn't even know he has betrayed me and think it is fine to gossip behind me but it really hurts when I found out about it.

More Space Please

Everything that I used to be doing everyday in the past is not what I am doing nowadays. What do I mean? I'm no more playing my favourite online games; I'm no more sitting infront of my PC every night; I'm not blogging as often as I did; I go to bed early at night; I wake up finding myself away from home but near school; I study and study with not much entertainment or recreation.

Is it because of the stress of examination? Is it because I'm missing home and family? Is it because I'm lazy to take out my notebook from my cupboard in Setapak? I have no idea. The only sure thing I have in my mind now is that Material Science test wasn't easy. I find it hard eventhough I have put efforts in studying Material Science for few days before the test which I would never have done so in the past.

Weekends are great. At home I have my beloved family with me, full speed Internet connection, and most important of all, a slightly-larger-than-single-but-smaller-than-queen-size-bed! Space is what I am lacking of in my room in Setapak - a tiny little room shared by three people. In Setapak, the only private time I have is when I am in the bathroom...I need more S P A C E!!! I need to find a new room after this year.

No Space - Drawn by James with MS Paint

Excuse me as I must end here and enjoy my limited time at home now :P till next time.

A Different Birthday Celebration

What happenned last Friday was somewhat different from usual. No, it wasn't Good Friday. It was just and only my Birthday but it was a bit different from the past 18 years. Why is it, you asked?

I have been expecting to celebrate my Birthday this year with my family at my home, sweet home. Until the third week, our Mathematic for Engineering lecturer told us that we were going to have a test in the fourth week which was last week. The test was on Saturday which stopped me from going back home. As a result, I couldn't celebrate my Birthday with my family.

Just when I thought I would be celebrating my Birthday this year alone in my own sweet dream, someone has popped up infront of my room (I'm renting a room in Setapak, KL) and told my roommates and I that we were going to celebrate another housemate's birthday. Coincidently, his Birthday fell on the same day as mine. So, we went to the mamak stall and celebrated our Birthdays together with roti canai, nasi lemak, tea etc.

It was the first time I celebrate my Birthday with people other than my family. It was unusual but great in a way.

Anyway, that Saturday after the test I went home and celebrated my belated Birthday with my family. My best Birthday present for this year? Secret.

Tick Tock Tick Tock

Time is running. Is it running fast or slow? I say both.

Time is running slow. Last week when I was waiting for my laptop to arrive at my front door the time was ticking slow, very slow. Every second was like a decade long. In the end, she belongs to me now - my beloved laptop.

Time is running fast. I'm no more a preuniversity student. This is the 3rd week of my first year first semester in degree course. Midterm exam is just around the corner. Tons of tutorials are waiting for me to complete them and later to be passed up as courseworks.

Time is running slow. Weekdays were totally sufferable. I missed my parents. I missed my desktop. I missed Internet. I couldn't wait till weekends.

Time is running fast. I'm at home now. Weekends will be over in just a blink of eye or a snap of fingers. Shouldn't I be doing tutorial questions now?

Time is running...tick tock tick tock...

So, use your time wisely.

The Battle Between Gods

First of all, may God forgives my naïveté...

I have always been wondering whether there is a connection among the 4 main religions in this World - Christian, Buddha, Islam and Hindu.

I myself is a Catholic Christian.

So, is there really a connection among these 4 main religions?

Some people said that they are actually branches of a single source. They said there is actually one and only one God in this universe. When God sent HIS representative to Earth, HE did not only send one because the Earth is a huge piece of land (notice land is a singular word because people believe the 5 continents were once a piece of huge land). Therefore, we have Jesus in Christian and Nabi Muhammad s.a.w. in Islam.

Battle Between Gods - Drawn by James with MS Paint
Bibles were written by different people from different locations with different perspectives. Of course, that is why today we have 4 different main religions but all of their stories are somewhat similar to each others. As we all can see, these 4 main religions have one common purpose which is to guide us, the Earthlings, to a bright and good road so that we can be a decent person.

Now, there is still one question remaining:

Are there more than one God in this universe?

The answer will not be revealed as I believe no mortal should know the answer for it, neither do I.

I Love Dell™. I Love My Parents

Everything seem to be so smooth after I came back home from Setapak, KL on last Thursday. Not only I got some good night sleeps but my parents have ordered for me a Dell™ notebook/laptop. It's like an early Birthday for me and an early Father's Day celebration! My dad even spent his time to go shopping with me today. Although we planned to watch Pirates of the Carribean: At World's End this evening, sadly Summit USJ was out of electricity. My dad told me we will never go to Summit USJ anymore LoL I totally agree with him.

My Birthday is just around the corner - 2 more weeks. One thing for sure this is the first time I will not be celebrating that day with my family, though it is Friday, I have a test the next morning. Anyway, I think it is going to be a lonely Birthday for me that night but I guess it is okay because I have already got my Birthday present :P which is the Dell™ notebook/laptop. Well, at least she is on the way to me.

Let's talk about the laptop.

I got the Dell™ brochure in one of the newspapers I took in UTAR. I read it and found out they are having a limited time promotion which gives free memory upgrade on selected Dell™ systems. The promotion is for online purchasing only and not available in any shop. I turned to the 2nd page of the brochure and saw the Dell™ Inspiron™ 6400 model notebook/laptop. Below are the specs for this costomized model:

A Little Experience Of Taking A Cab

Today's morning I went to the Public Bank with my mum to apply/open a saving account. I need an account in Public Bank because there is one and only one ATM machine in UTAR which is the Public Bank's. Just in case if there is an emergency and I need cash urgently then I can go withdraw in UTAR. Another reason to open an account in Public Bank is the PTPTN loan only allow students with an individual saving account in Public Bank to apply.

So, we went to the public bank by public bus. The process of applying/openning an account took us almost 2 hours. There were not many people oppenning account but then there was only one counter for that purpose. So, a lot of time wasted waiting in line. Afterward, my mum has to go to work so she hurried me and caught a cab on the way to the bus stop. Then, this is what happenned:

My mum openned the door of that cab and asked the taxi driver whether is he going to Bandar Puchong Jaya or not. In addition to that, my mum told him that we were going to Impian Heights Apartment. Alright, the driver nodded his head and we went into the cab.

The weird thing is the driver did not start the meter which is uses to calculate the fee of the journey. I thought we were going to get a cheap ride this time. Then the driver just started stepping on the accelerate pedal and turned his head and body around to tell us the journey will cost us RM10. *curse* *breathe* *curse again* Why?! The journey should not even cost more than RM5! Does it means we live in THAT apartment so we are very rich to pay RM10 for such short distance?! My mum and I were arguing with the driver on the way to our home. My mum did not give him the RM10 but RM6. Hey, RM6 already considered as a lot for that...if he runs the meter he should have just get like less than RM5.

Now, the really funny thing is the driver insisted that we have to pay RM10. My mum kept refusing and told him that she has already paid more than she should. Perhaps the driver got mad at us or whatever, he left the RM6 on the bench at the ground floor of our apartment and drove away...funny, is it not?

The driver was asking for more at first but in the end he left the money on the bench?! Was he trying to scare us or what? Is that the attitude he should has for his costomers?

Anyway, I learnt a lesson this morning. The next time if I am going for a cab ride, I will ask whether the driver is going to run the meter or not first before going into the cab. This is not the first time we meet with such taxi driver. The previous one ran the meter but during the arrival of the destination he asked us to add RM2 besides the fee shown on the meter screen. So, from now on, I will take cab as less as possible.

Unfamiliar Ceiling (Modern Poem)

I open my eyes
What I see is the ceiling above me
I stare at it for a few seconds

This is strange

The ceiling is not what I used to see every morning

I try to think

I figured it out
This is not the ceiling in my room
Yes, I am not at home now

So, where am I?

I wonder
I am afraid
This place is...
I close my eyes and try to think
Yes, I remember at last

Here is now my second home

P.S. I really couldn't get good sleep at nights in Setapak, KL. I have classes from 8am to 5pm almost everyday due to that I have 7 subjects in this semester. I think I want to move out from this current house in Setapak because the housemates want everyone living in that house to practice something every morning at 6am - read Buddha bible. Hell, I am a Christian and I must follow this nonsense rule?! So I guess I have no choice but to find a new room and move out ASAP. The good news is my parents are going to buy me a new notebook/laptop soon! Can't wait to say "hello" to her (the laptop) HeHe I'm at home now, finally I get some good sleep at night. Air-cond, computer, television, bed, I missed them all!

Thank You

Alright, tomorrow is Sunday, 27th of May, a day before my Degree course starts. I was planning to move to my new home in Setapak, KL tomorrow but I changed my mind and decided to move today (which is later today). I just want to adapt to my new environment one day earlier and I know I won't be able to have a good sleep tonight. Hopefully, tomorrow's night will be different.

As there, at my new home, has no access to the Internet, and I have not get a laptop yet, I will not be able to update my blog frequently. I can only do it occasionally or during weekends when I will be back at my REAL home. I am just worry about what will I do with so much time on hand since there will be no Internet access...sleep, eat, sleep again, and daydream?

Anyway, I'm here to announce that my blog is now OFFICIALLY open. This means I will start posting about my life in university. Hopefully, I will have the determination to continue blogging for four years to come...well, that is highly dependent of you, yes, you! Keep reading my blog, please : )

As for now, I will need to turn off my computer and wave goodbye to her.

Many thanks to those who left comments on my blog for the past few weeks (in chronological order):

Malaysia Official RO Free Server

Malaysia Official RO Free Server banner
Woah, woah, there, don't be too excited by just looking at the title. Please, do not be fooled by it too! I'm going to give you two news on this Malaysia Official RO Free Server - Prontera Server - one good, one bad.

RO (Ragnarok Online) is the very first MMORPG (Massive Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game) I had played when it was in the Beta Test where it used to be free of monthly fee and yes, a super lag MMORPG. The game is developed in Korea and being managed by GameFlier Malaysia for both Malaysia and Singapore servers.

Well, I guess some of you have already known of the release of this free server a month ago if you are a fans of RO. Yes, it was a surprise for me too and I was getting hyped that I am going back to RO once again...

I'm going for the good news first. Apparently, the server is free from any monthly fee! It's not those illegal private free servers but official free server. Yes, you get to play it for free without buying the monthly card or whatsoever. What you need to do is go to the cyber cafe nearest to you and buy the game pack which includes a CD and a newbie guide for only RM 3.80. After three(3) years of launching the RO Malaysia they finally open a free server for stingy people like me. Isn't that great?

Oh, well, that is not really the case. Now, for the bad news...first of all, they are following the MMORPG trend by openning something called item mall which is majorly used by many new MMORPGs to make profits from it. Players are indirectly forced to buy the items so that they can level up like in the P2P (Pay To Play) servers and experience the game to the maximum. So, afterall, we still have to spend some money.

Second of all, are the various limitations set in the RO free server where some of the limitations will really cause pain in the ass for the players especially the hardcore ones. If you have played RO before you should know there is a NPC (Non-Playable Character) named Kapra in every city that provide teleport services. In the free server, these services are being removed. This will cause the players to have a hard time travelling from one city to another especially if they are low in level. In addition to that, "Wing of Fly" and "Wing of Butterfly" are being removed too. These wings used to be the tools that let players save their spawning point anywhere - in the dungeons or in the deadly towers - so that when they die they can revive nearby.

Besides all those pains in the ass, the major limitation is that 50% of the original experience that you should get when defeating a monster is being deducted. This means you get only half the experience of the P2P servers! This is what indirectly forces players to buy the double experience rate card which increases the experience back to its normal rate.

The painful limitation for Acolyte profession (a profession/class/job in RO whose main purpose is to help players and do all the supporting and healing in a party) lovers like I myself is that the Teleport skill of Acolyte class consumes 500 SP. 500 SP!!! Totally insane! It means DEATH for us Acoltyes! Imagine how we save our asses from the surrounding monsters when we left only a few SP... (SP is the short from of Skill Point which is needed to perform a skill/magic. HP stands for Health Point which in another word is life).

To cause an even greater pain in the ass of all the players, now there will be a certain chances for equipments or weapons equipped by the character to drop once it is defeated in game play. That means once lag we might lose something precious to us! We spend millions of zeny (a curreny used in RO) on an equipment and lose it during the battle?! Not to mention the safety level for refining and upgrading an equipment (safety level is the level where you get 100% successful rate. If it fails, then player will lose the refining item which is quite expensive in game) and weapon is being removed too and they cost a few ten thousands zeny.

Oh, come on, with all these pain-in-the-ass limitations, why make a free server now?! Don't make us fly high in the sky and kick us back to the ground! It hurts, indeed. For you out there, if you are still interested in playing the RO Free Server feel free to do so since you are really a fans of RO but do not put high expectation on it as it is not the same RO you used to play anymore...BTW, Ragnarok 2 is coming to Malaysia soon. It is in 3D! Yes, everything 3D not like Ragnarok which is the combination of 2D and 3D. FYI, however, it is going to be a P2P MMORPG.

P.S. Next week gonna move to Setapak, KL already. Still haven't prepare anything yet (things needed when I go there and also my mind). Now watching as many anime and enjoying my time as much as possible LoL

Nut Lucid Dreams Archive

Dream, an experience of envisioned images, sounds, or other sensations during sleep. The events of dreams are often impossible or unlikely to occur in physical reality and are usually outside the control of the dreamer. However, there is one thing called "lucid dream" in which the dreamer realizes he/she is dreaming are sometimes capable of controlling various aspects of the dream. Therefore, it resulting a much clearer experience and the dreamer usually will have the dream remembered for years to come. Some dreams may lead to deja vu which means "already seen" in French. Something that happening right infront of our eyes have we seen before in our previous dreams and that is what we called deja vu. Enough of the introductory, I guess I should just start listing out my dreams, in no particular order.

When I was a teenager, I dreamt of waking up late. I was chasing after the school bus till I reached the school gate.

When I was living in my previous house, I dreamt of being pressed by a huge flat rock.

When I just learnt how to climb, I dreamt of me climbing out from the house and there was no one there. I was so afraid and cried. The dream is clearly remembered till today.

When I was a teenager, I dreamt of me sitting on the sofa reading the newspaper. Out of a sudden, a pretty girl came and kissed me on my cheek, who seemed to be my future girl was so real I feel the saliva...I was drooling

When again I was a teenager, I dreamt of me waking up with another pretty girl beside me in the morning, who seemed to be my future wife...we chit-chatted awhile...and I woke up again...

A Blue Dream - Drawn by James with MS Paint
When I was a teenager, I dreamt of me running and hopping down the floor, high enough to cause a casualty to happen but there was not a scratch on me even after hopping a few floors.

When I was a primary school student, I dreamt of my best friend became a stranger to me and he did not speak to me at all no matter how hard I shouted his name.

When I was again a primary school student, I dreamt of me driving my daddy's car. I was so experienced and there was no accident.

When I was a foundation studies student, I dreamt about hanging around in the class with my secondary school friends and there was no teacher for the entire day.

Don't know when, I dreamt of me experiencing the most thrilling, exciting and intensive roller coaster in the world.

There are just too many lucid dreams that I had before but it is hard for me to recall them in a short period of time. However, I am sure that I have never had a dream where I am dead, I am a bad guy, I am being kidnapped by the aliens for experiment, I am becoming an angel, etc. Very seldom do I have nightmares too. Never do I dream of superheroes. I must admit it happenned a several times before where I saw something in reality that I once dreamt of. Everything was like a flashback to what has happenned in my dream. Sometimes I thought we are living in the future and present. Sleeping is a way to bring us back to the future...Well, that's just my thought and hardly can we prove it with lab experiments. It is something scienctifically unexplainable. Just like how the universe exists in the first place.

My Ambitions (Part II)

...continued from My Ambitions (Part I)

My second ambition was to become an inventor like Thomas Edison. I remember I read a short story book about him when I was a small kid. His story was a sad yet an inspiring one. He was the one who first discovered the electricity and invented the light bulb. He used to have a low IQ level and even his teacher looked down on him. Eventually he got kicked out from the school due to his low IQ level. There was one day when he saw a chicken hatched an egg. He asked his parents how the egg hatches but his parents ignored him. His curiosity has made him wanted to search for the answer so he took an egg from the kitchen, pretended to be a chicken and sat gently on the egg for the entire night. The egg just never hatch and he was disappointed. The next day his neighbours found out about it and thought he was crazy, his parents scolded him too but hey, who would have know that he is going to be the one who invented the light bulb and things that are important and useful to mankind when he grows up. I was impressed by his story and that is why I wished to become an inventor one day.

Egg+Heat=Chick - Drawn by James with MS Paint
I like a reality game show titled America Inventor. The contestants are so creative and innovative. I really think all of them deserve to win but then it is a competition and there can be only one winner. One thing sad about this reality game show is it actually hurt and crash the heart of those inventors who couldn't make it to the next round and they gave up becoming an inventor eventhough they have the potential but they don't have enough money for continuing their invention. If you don't know, being an inventor will make you so poor that you don't even have 3 proper meals in a day since you don't have a proper job with constant income. Well, inventor can be rich but not until their invention is being widely accepted by the public.

Even my current ambition is related to my second ambition. Now, I want to be a mechanical engineer. I know if I study hard enough I will one day be a successful engineer or even better than that. However, being a mechanical engineering isn't my prior ambition. Now that I know ambition is not just about occupation, and so my ambition has became a totally different one.

Prologue (Part VI)

Continued from Prologue (Part V)

Last week we stopped at the friend who has been there with James always since fourth year in primary school. So, who is this friend of James and how did they meet each others?

James met with this friend of his when they were being arranged to the same class. The strange and funny thing is that they were actually classmates during the first and second year but they have never known each others. His friend was then transfered to another class in the third year and only the next year they knew the existence of each others.

When they met, they did something unusual. They did not introduce themselves verbally. Instead, they wrote down questions on a piece of paper and exchanged them. They filled in the answers and brought it back to school the next day. It was weird but then they both were introverts. Surprisingly, they eventually found out they actually studied in the same kindergarten! This has got to be a fate.

So, from that days onward, they started to talk with each others more often. Some other friends have joined in as well when they found them talking with each others. So that have increased thier circle of friends. There were some who were quire lazy and left behind in the studies but they weren't embarassed to ask questions and James and his friend were kind and gentle enough to teach them LoL Even when they go to the canteen during every recess, they would walk in group. It was cool that time because they were like a gang, but they were all good students.

After three years and after the UPSR (the test that all sixth year primary students have to take before going to high school), they thought they would be seperated. However, that didn't happen and they were transfered into the same high school. It was just that they weren't in the same class but during recess they would go to find each others in canteen. Again, they were fated to be in the same class again in the last two years of high school. Although now they are seperated (James has gone to UTAR while his friend decided to continue his sixth year in high school), they are still in contact with each others. Nobody knows what will happen in the future but James knows he doesn't want to lose such a friend and will do anything to prevent that from happenning. I haven't mention his name, have I? Well, I can just tell the initial letters - CYK

Now in UTAR, he is with another friend who he got to know in the second year in high school but they seldom speak with each others. Although James knows very little about him, nevertheless he hopes that he will be another friend just like YK. This friend has a very high interest in automobiles especially fast performance car and computers. There is just one flaw, this friend of his has less interest in others' feeling and sometimes a bit selfish LoL I guess James would hope that his friend will never read this. Anyway, he is sure that they will just get along well and go through the coming 4 years in a snap of fingers.

To be continued...

P.S. Just came back from Genting Highlands after staying there for 2 days 1 night. It was fun and enjoyable. I guess this will be my last time going to there for this 4 years because will have a very unpleasant and busy time studying in UTAR Setapak, away from home during weekdays...

My Ambitions (Part I)

Yeah, yea, I know. This is a primary school essay title. However, I just feel like composing an essay with this title at my age now to see how different my ambition compared to those I had when I was still a young kid. It certainly has changed and evolved a lot as I grow older and wiser.

I still remember my first ambition which I was forced to come up with one when I was in primary school. I didn't even know what is "ambition" until my teacher asked me to write an essay on that. My first ambition was to become a prime minister of Malaysia. I know. It's impossible but I wasn't an intelligent kid that time and I didn't know many stuff. Anyway, I thought being a prime minister is cool because I used to think that he is like the king that control the nation. Later I found out he wasn't the king but a president-like person. In Malaysia, we do not have president so prime minister is the one who handles all the political stuff. The current prime minister of Malaysia is the fifth and so far there has not been a prime minister who is a Malaysian Chinese, neither a Malaysian Indian. It could be that the Malays, who claim themselves as the natives (bumiputra), want to maintain their status quo and prevent our nation from falling into the hand of other races. Hey, we are all Malaysian so why are they behave like that?!

King-like Prime Minister - drawn by James with MS Paint
So, it seemed that my first ambition is not attainable for the coming years, or in my entire life. Anyway, the essay was not praised by my teacher and I scored quite low for it. I remember my teacher used to tell us that when we are writing an essay on this title, we have to choose to be a doctor, lawyer, bombaman (fireman), teacher, construction engineer (it was so popular that time), accountant or any other occupation that contribute to the people. I remember we weren't being asked to write an essay on this title for just once, but a several times, it was even a famous essay question in the tests regardless of in the Chinese or Malay language. So, since become a prime minister is not a proper dream, they said, so I have changed my ambition to someting else.

Prologue (Part V)

...continued from Prologue (Part IV)

Still remember the first friend James had before he met with the naughty two? He was James' one and only one close friend in kindergarten. Although he has met with a few other friends later, James has never been close to them. He didn't even speak much with the person sitting beside him or around his seat.

Due to his height, he had always been ordered by the teacher to sit at the back of the class, regardless of in kindergarten or in primary school. He didn't like to sit at the back but he didn't want to block the view of those students behind either. Anyway, his eyesight was and is sharp and strong, probably because his eyes are inherited by his daddy who used to be a pilot in Malaysia Royal Air Force (TUDM - Tentera Udara Diraja Malaysia). Not only he has strong eyesight but he also has a pair of good ears so it wasn't hard for him to pay attention when someone talks.

Far Behind - Drawn by James with MS Paint
James was really quiet and introverted when he was in kindergarten and primary school. Friends weren't much of a need for him because he didn't feel like talking or communicate. He was afraid of strangers. Only those who approached him and introduced themselves have became his friends, his only close friends. Most of them have departed from his life and went to other directions and they never keep in touch with James anymore. Fortunately, there is one who is always there with him since standard three (third year) in primary school.

Amateur's Second Poem - I'm Healthy

Elephant lives in the zoo,
And so does the Kangaroo;
I like drinking Kickapoo,
Coke is my favourite too.

Animals in zoo are kept in the cage,
So nobody gets hurt when they rage;
Yesterday my body felt so strange,
I prayed that today it will change.

Above the tree was a monkey,
It was holding a big key;
I have never felt so happy,
Because again I am so healthy.

The zookeeper got so worried,
Because the monkey has escaped;
I am glad I have fully recovered,
And the holiday has just started.

P.S. Hehe, yea, I'm alright now. I have never felt so good before LoL You know Saturday how high was my body temperature? It was 39.8 degree Celcius! Last Friday I was feeling okay but the next morning when I woke up I felt so cold. Luckily today I did well in my test and now I'm officially in holiday, hooray!!

Prologue (Part IV)

...continue from Prologue (Part III)

So, what actually happenned after James met with the two "friends" during his kindergarten era? It was a sad experience for him that changed him into a good boy at school until present days (at school)...

One day, those two "friends" invited him to do something "fun". They took a book from one of the school bags during recess time when no one else was in the class; It was a girl's exercise book. They started drawing pictures on that book with colouring pencils. They were having so much fun until a few minutes later, they got caught by their teacher because of their noisy laughters.

As the bell rang and everyone went back into the class, the teacher told everyone what happenned and ordered them to apologize to the girl. James started to drop his tears as he felt guilty and uncomfortable with such situation. Anyway, they were being punished to stand in front of the class and pull their ears for the rest of the classes that day. Eventhough they were being punished, those two have never changed their attitude at all and still did a lot of bad things in kindergarten.

Punished - Drawn by James with MS Paint
That was the very first time James being punished at school. He knew it was a mistake to befriend with those two so from that day onwards, he never speak to them anymore. He also knew what he has done was actually wrong and being a bad boy at school will get him punished by the teacher XD At home, he was still a crybaby and a naughty boy...

To be continued...

P.S. Thank you for your concerns on me. BTW, I'm feeling much better right now compared to yesterday's evening and this morning. I guess one more night is all I need to be fully recovered. Thank you again for reading my blog ^^ I promise I will not stop blogging for another month HAHA that's all I can promise you at the moment because I don't make empty promise :P

An Amateur's First Poem - I'm ILL

I can see a lollipop,
It is hanging on the top;
I like listening to Hip Hop,
But now I am listening to Pop.

I can see a fisherman,
He is on the boat with his woman;
After listened to Robbie's Better Man,
I wish I too could be a better man.

I can see a waterfall,
It is up there on the hill;
I think I am gonna fall,
Cause now I am ill.

I know today is public holiday,
I hate to say this but today is not my day;
I wish I can be fully recovered the next day,
Cause there is a test on Monday.

My Physical Appearance (Part V)

...continued from My Physical Appearance (Part IV)

My legs, a pair of elephant's legs (lol, not the desease, ok?), like my arms, are hairy too...argh, enough of the hairy part! My legs have companied me wherever I go for these 18 years and 10 months. They have walked with me for million of miles since the day I learnt how to walk. Imagine how they carried a burden that's 100 kilogram heavy (yea, that's me...) when running and walking. Shameful of me though, cause I seldom cut my nails. I only cut them like once in a couple of months, LoL. However, I always keep the cleanliness of my legs regardless of how untidy my room is... (great, now I am talking about my room.)

Growing Legs - drawn by James with MS Paint
So, that's all for my physical appearance entries, I guess. There is no more stuff I would like to type on this topic anymore...hehe.

The End.

P.S. I guess I ruined my drawing very badly with the blue spray (but I still call it a fine art LoL). Anyway, better off to slumberland now because I have a test in the afternoon.

Review on The Number 23 (2007)

Warning: This article/entry/post/review may contains spoilers.

The Number 23 (2007)
"There is no such thing as destiny; There are only different choices that you make." - Walter Sparrow in The Number 23

Release Date:
23rd of February, 2007

Jim Carrey as Walter Sparrow
Virginia Madsen as Agatha

Directed by:
Joel Schumacher

Official Website:

I watched this movie in theatre on last Sunday with a friend of mine. Glad that he has invited me to go watch this movie because I liked it a lot and I got to see Jim Carrey's breakthrough in acting in such a thrilling movie (usually he stars in comedies, if you didn't know).

Walter holding the novel and his wife
The story begins with a dog catcher named Walter Sparrow (Jim Carrey) who lives a normal life with his wife, Agatha (Virginia Madsen) and his teenage son. On his birthday his wife bought him a novel as his present. It is an old, self-printed and self-binded novel titled "Number 23" printed there "a novel of obsession" by the author named Topsy Crate (sounds like Top Secret huh?). So, he starts reading the novel every day.

Walter reading the novel
The life of the book’s main character, a brooding detective named Fingerling, is filled with moments that echo Walter’s own history. Walter becomes infected by the most frightening and evocative part of it - Fingerling’s obsession with the hidden power of the number 23. This obsession begins to control Walter. He sees the number everywhere in his own life and becomes convinced that he is damned to commit the same horrific crime as Fingerling who has murdered his girlfriend. Walter tries to find an answer to the number 23 and eventually he finds out that he is the writer of that novel. He lost his memory because he tried commit suicide but failed. So now he must unlock the secrets of his past and make a right choice before he can continue his future with his family.

Detective Fingerling and his girlfriend in the novel
This is a movie for those who like thrillers but not for the faint-hearted.

I rated it 4 out of 5.

P.S. Just finished watching the match between Manchester United (Red Devil) and AC Milan when I am typing this. The Red Devil scored (by Ronaldo) at the fifth minute early in the match but then AC Milan managed to get an equalizer and increased the league (both by Kaka') making the score Red Devil 1-2 AC Milan. Fortunately, in the 2nd half, the Red Devil stroke back and sent in 2 fantastic goals (both by Rooney) and owned AC Milan for this morning. The final result was Red Devil 3-2 AC Milan. Sleepy now...let's go to slumberland!
